Cree has initiated a voluntary recall for Cree® LED T8R replacement lamps in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Cracked capacitors on the printed circuit board (PCB) may cause the lamp to overheat and drop from its fixture, posing a burn hazard.
The recall involves Cree® LED T8R replacement lamps which were sold to commercial lighting channel customers between August 2015 and May 2016, in addition to being offered in exchange for original Cree® LED TS replacement lamps subject to a 2015 recall, the details of which may be found at http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2015/Cree-Recalls-LED-Lamps/.
