SYCAMORE, IL, May 18, 2009 - Designed with the features required to troubleshoot industrial and commercial electrical systems up to 600AAC, new Clamp-Pro™ clamp meters from IDEAL are affordable solutions for electricians looking to save money without sacrificing performance. When employed in preventative maintenance programs Clamp-Pro™ clamp meters can help maximize the uptime of electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime expense.
Two Clamp-Pro™ clamp meters are available: the standard 61-744 has non-contact voltage indicator (70V - 600VAC), auto/manual ranging, data hold, auto power off, and CAT III-600V rating, while the 61-746 compliments this same feature set with True RMS measurements for those working in harmonic environments.
Clamp-Pro™ clamp meters make current measurements simple and reliable. A compact frame fits comfortably in the user's hands, even with heavy gloves on, and is convenient to maneuver in tight cable compartments. Tapered jaws have a convenient hook tip that permits wires to be separated for safer measurement in crowded cable bundles. Buttons for data hold and for the non-contact voltage indicator are "one-touch" to allow the electrician's other hand to remain free during operation. Plus, an indicator will let the user know when batteries are low and need replacement.
IDEAL Clamp-Pro™ clamp meters are immediately available. MSRP for the 61-744 is $81.48, and $105.10 (U.S) for the 61-746. Test leads and case are included with purchase. IDEAL backs its meters with a 2-year warranty.
