Summit Wins National Marketing Awards

Summit Electric Supply won three national marketing awards in an annual industry competition. Summit won for digital/social media campaign, literature/selling tool, and integrated promotional campaign in the $200 million+ company size category.

An independent panel of four judges weighed entries submitted for the contest’s 14 categories. Entries were separated into three categories based on their company’s sales volume.

According to the judges, this years’ competition was fiercer than previous years as the number and quality of the entries continues to increase. Over the past decade, Summit has been recognized 21 times with Best of the Best marketing awards.

During the awards ceremony, judge Katrina Olson said the integrated promotional campaign category, which Summit won, is one of the most difficult and comprehensive categories. It evaluates a marketing team’s ability to design and execute a number of varying elements across an entire campaign.

“There were a lot of really strong entries by some great industry marketing teams,” says Sheila Hernandez, Summit’s vice president of marketing. “It’s fun to see what others are doing and to be recognized for our efforts.”

Winners of the 2012 Best of the Best Marketing Awards Competition by the Electrical Distributor Magazine were announced on August 21 during the National Association of Electrical Distributor’s AdVenture Marketing Conference in Chicago.
