This is Summit’s second Best of the Best Overall award. The company also won three individual awards for digital/social media campaign, event, and integrated promotional campaign, each focusing on improving and enhancing the customer experience.
Summit Chairman and CEO Victor Jury Jr. said the awards reflect the consistent value that Summit’s marketing efforts bring to the company and to the industry.
Summit received the best digital/social media campaign award for the “Lil’ Electricians Toy Catalog,” a mini website featuring imaginary electrical toys that was emailed as a thank you to customers, vendors, and partners during the holidays. The “Born to Be Wired” service center open house events won in the event category, and the Careers section of Summit.com coupled with supporting video, recruiting collateral, and tradeshow materials won for integrated promotional campaign.
“Effectively communicating the values and services that differentiate Summit is the primary objective in all of our marketing campaigns,” said Vice President of Marketing Sheila Hernandez. “But it’s also really exciting to have our team’s work recognized by the industry.”
Since 2002, Summit has won 32 Best of the Best marketing awards. Electrical distributors and electrical manufacturers are judged separately, and entries are divided into three divisions based on company sales volume. Summit competed in the Electrical Distributors Over $200 Million division.
Winners were announced during the National Association of Electrical Distributor’s (NAED) AdVenture Marketing Conference in Chicago on August 10. To see all of the entries, visit best.tedmag.com/overall.
Interviews with the Best of the Best Overall award winners and write-ups on each of the winning entries are featured in the August 2016 issue of tED Magazine.
