Summit Electric Supply won four industry marketing awards in the 2013 Best of the Best competition by the Electrical Distributor (tED) Magazine, the most Summit has ever won in a single year. Summit was recognized for having the best creative display and best direct promotion in the $200 million+ distributor category, plus Summit won the new Judge’s Choice award and the Best Presentation award.
An independent panel of four judges weighed entries from 14 categories, which were then separated into three divisions based on their company’s sales volume. Summit has received 25 Best of the Best marketing awards since 2002.
Summit’s direct promotion award recognized a series of direct mailings promoting Summit’s expansion into several Texas markets while point of sale floor graphics for the company’s NEMA Configuration Guide mobile app won the award for creative display. Summit’s Conduit Fill Tracker mobile app won the new Judge’s Choice award and the award for Best Presentation was received for having the best overall submission presentation.
Sheila Hernandez, Summit’s vice president of marketing, says, “There is no doubt that the industry continues to step up its marketing efforts. Competition is increasing and the work gets better each year. Our own success is thanks to the contributions of every member of our team.”
Winners of the competition were announced during the National Association of Electrical Distributor’s (NAED) AdVenture Marketing Conference in Chicago on August 6.
