The Vermont Energy Investment Corp. has won a three-year, $21 million contract to do energy efficiency work for municipal utilities in six states. VEIC and Columbus, Ohio-based American Municipal Power Inc. announced Tuesday that VEIC will set up efficiency programs serving the nonprofit wholesale power provider and its member utilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Virginia, Kentucky and West Virginia. VEIC is to help American Municipal Power to set up programs designed to save 70,000 megawatt-hours of electricity during the three-year term of their contract.
