VA Offers $10M in Energy-Efficiency Rebates

Virginia homeowners and small businesses can get $10 million in rebates to help cut energy costs and install renewable-energy systems.  The Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy is administering the rebates, which are funded by federal stimulus money.  Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling said Tuesday that about $6.5 million is available for energy-efficient applications, such as upgrades for heating and air conditioning, home insulation and windows. An additional $3.5 million will fund the Virginia Solar and Wind Incentive Program to purchase such devices.  3/24 AP
