LED Lighting Brightens Holiday Season with Energy Savings

Through sponsorship of a lighting exchange at Lincoln Park Zoo and a number of festivals across northern Illinois, ComEd is encouraging customers to adopt energy-saving habits that help them save money. LED holiday lights can pay for themselves in four to five years as a result of electricity savings and use up to 90 percent less energy than traditional light strands. ComEd hosted an energy efficient holiday lighting exchange on Nov. 27 at Lincoln Park Zoo's annual ZooLights festival.  In addition to the LED lighting exchange and discounts, ComEd continues its tradition of hosting local holiday festivals for families to enjoy including:
