Danbury, CT Firm Helps with Ford's Energy Efficiency

New England Energy Management is doing its part to help Ford Motor Co. become a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective company. The Danbury-based designer of energy-efficient lighting recently was chosen by Ford to retrofit its Dearborn Research & Engineering Center, as well as various Ford Land commercial buildings in Dearborn, Mich., with a more efficient lighting system. The project will entail retrofitting or replacing more than 50,000 400-watt metal halide or 400-watt high-pressure sodium light fixtures with 216 input watts linear fluorescents, and adding lighting control systems and daylight dimming controls to achieve maximum efficiency. 3/03 Connecticut Post
