The city nicknamed as K-Town in Ulster County, New York. The Common Council approved the city’s borrowing of $ 2.1 million to install 2,420 streetlights LED streetlights throughout the city. Early on, the council approved borrowing $ 105,000 for design and engineering work for the project. Approximately half of the approved funding will be used to pay Perreca Electric Co. of Newburgh, the bid winner of the new LED streetlights installation project. Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation will receive an estimated $ 500,000 for the light fixtures.
