Albuquerque Service Center
Greg Carpenter got his industry start working in Summit’s Albuquerque, New Mexico warehouse in 1986. He followed Summit’s career path through positions in counter sales, customer service, project quotations and automation sales, and soon became a top-performing account manager for the company. In January 2015, Carpenter was promoted to service center leader for the Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico locations.
Broussard Service Center
Leland M. Sonnier
Leland M. Sonnier has more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the electrical wholesale industry. Sonnier began his career as an industrial outside sales representative focused on MRO contracts and providing full service solutions for industrial end users. He joined Summit in January 2010 and was promoted to service center leader for the Broussard location in March 2011.
Bryan/College Station Service Center
With 30 years of electrical industry experience, Jim Suttle joined Summit in November 2013 as service center leader of its Bryan/College Station location. Suttle’s career in distribution has been spent serving customers across central Texas. After advancing from delivery to counter sales, Suttle held numerous inside and outside sales positions before moving into purchasing and operations management. Suttle’s strong market knowledge and continued success at growing customer relationships are assets in his leadership position at Summit.
Clute Service Center
Steve Lincoln joined Summit in 2003 with the acquisition of Warren Electric, where he had worked for 13 years as a customer service representative. He continued that role for Summit before being promoted to operations manager in January 2009. Lincoln maintained both sales and business operations in Clute during a transition period and was promoted to service center leader in January 2010.
Corpus Christi Service Center
This industry veteran joined Summit in June 2009. Mendoza spent half of his 30-year career in South Texas, which make him a good fit for the Corpus Christi market. He's now service center leader for two additional locations in Kenedy and Victoria, and has distinguished himself through his focus on customer service. He studied industrial distribution at Texas A&M University and also attended San Antonio College, where he earned an associate’s degree.
Dallas Service Center
Todd Bockenfeld joined Summit in February 2014 as service center leader of the Dallas location. He began his distribution career in 1998 and has achieved proven performance across numerous leadership positions, including sales, operations, and finance. He brings strong market knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and a commitment to customer service to his Summit leadership role. Bockenfeld has an MBA in finance from the University of Texas, Arlington.
Mike Rogers (Regional Sales Director)
Mike Rogers has a strong track record of growth and success and joined Summit in February 2013 as service center leader of the Dallas location. He was promoted to regional sales director in February 2014. With more than 20 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry, he’s held positions of increasing responsibility in all facets of the business, including counter, inside and outside sales, branch management, and executive leadership.
El Paso Service Center
Gene Mendez started his electrical distribution career in 1995 and progressed through numerous roles before specializing in industrial sales and projects. He joined Summit in 2010 to lead the projects department at the El Paso, Texas service center. With his broad knowledge of operations and sales, Mendez was promoted to El Paso service center leader in January 2015.
Farmington Service Center
Launching his career with Summit in February 1991, Kenneth King started in the Farmington warehouse, then worked as a customer service representative, supervisor, and account manager before becoming service center leader in August 2001. He is a Gold Level graduate of the National Association of Electrical Distributors' Electrical Products Education Course known as EPEC.
Fort Worth Service Center
Richard Efurd joined Summit in 1978 and opened the Fort Worth service center in 1989. He has remained that location's only service center leader. He completed the Gold Level of the National Association of Electrical Distributors' Electrical Products Education Course known as EPEC. Efurd holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Gonzales Service Center
With over 25 years of experience in the Baton Rouge-Gonzales market, Chip Shows joined the Summit team in 2013, as service center leader of the Gonzales location. After establishing himself in both inside and outside sales positions in the electric supply industry, Chip then moved up to work in supervisory and sales management roles. A familiar face to Louisiana electrical professionals, Chip brings years of excellent customer service and leadership to the Gonzales location.
Houston Service Center
Rodney Ilseng has been involved in electrical distribution since 1983. He joined Summit in April 2003 and served as both a service center leader and as Summit's regional strategic accounts manager in the Gulf Coast area. He was promoted to Houston service center leader in October 2009. Ilseng holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
La Porte Service Center
Jeff Norris has worked in electrical distribution since 1991 and joined Summit in August 2014. He’s led successful sales and operations teams for top distributors throughout his career and managed custom solutions for large industrial contactors in Oklahoma and northern Texas. Norris has an MBA from Brigham Young University and a bachelor’s in finance/civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Phoenix Service Center
A graduate of Arizona State University, Craig Rusk joined Summit in 1993, becoming a consistently top performing industrial account manager in the Phoenix market. His experience and knowledge of the market, combined with his strong sales performance record, made him a natural choice for service center leader. He was promoted in September 2009.
San Antonio Service Center
Allen O'Dell launched his career in the electrical distribution industry with Summit, rising quickly from his first position as a customer service representative in October 2004 to quotations manager by December 2005 and operations manager in November 2006. He was promoted to service center leader in July 2008 and now also leads the Pearsall service center.
Ralph Mouret, Summit's Director of EP&C Sales, is an engineering, procurement, and construction specialist in the oil and gas industry with extensive international and project experience.
Will Gonzalez has 20 years in sales and marketing with demonstrated performance managing and growing business in Latin America and the Middle East. He joined Summit in April 2013 as International Sales Director of the Houston-based international sales team, which focuses on expanding Summit’s global presence. Gonzalez also oversees the Dubai, UAE service center. He has a Master’s degree in International Business from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Rutgers University.
A marine industry veteran since 1991, Ed Dowey joined Summit in August 2004 and was named director of the Marine Division in New Orleans in 2008. He is also service center leader of the New Orleans location. Dowey holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Alabama.
