After graduating from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, Ryan began his career in sales, where his successes in growth strategies led to more demanding and responsible management roles. In addition to growing sales, Ryan excels at personnel development, vendor relationships and operational logistics. Ryan directs the sales efforts of the Desert Southwest district out of the Phoenix location.
Greg Carpenter got his industry start working in Summit’s Albuquerque, New Mexico warehouse in 1986. He followed Summit’s career path through positions in counter sales, customer service, project quotations and automation sales, and soon became a top-performing account manager for the company. In January 2015, Carpenter was promoted to service center leader for the Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico locations.
Launching his career with Summit in February 1991, Kenneth King started in the Farmington, New Mexico warehouse, then worked as a customer service representative, supervisor, and account manager before becoming service center leader in August 2001. He is a Gold Level graduate of the National Association of Electrical Distributors' (NAED) Electrical Products Education Course known as EPEC.
Gene Mendez started his electrical distribution career in 1995 and progressed through numerous roles before specializing in industrial sales and projects. He joined Summit in 2010 to lead the projects department at the El Paso, Texas service center. With his broad knowledge of operations and sales, Mendez was promoted to El Paso service center leader in January 2015.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Craig Rusk joined Summit in 1993, becoming a consistently top performing industrial account manager in the Phoenix, Arizona market. His experience and knowledge of the market, combined with his strong sales performance record, made him a natural choice for service center leader. He was promoted in September 2009.
Todd joined Summit in February 2014 as service center leader of the Irving, Texas location. He began his distribution career in 1998 and has achieved proven performance across numerous leadership positions, including sales, operations, and finance. He brings strong market knowledge of the North Texas area and a commitment to customer service to his Summit leadership role. Bockenfeld has an MBA in finance from the University of Texas, Arlington. Todd operates out of the Irving service center.
Jon Borgeson joined Summit in 1999, working his way through the warehouse and counter sales before moving into a role as customer service representative. He quickly rose to the position of account manager and was responsible for developing many of Summit’s national accounts. In addition to his lengthy industry experience, Jon has completed hundreds of hours of training on a broad variety of product and service offerings. In 2010, he became a Gold Level graduate of the National Association of Electrical Distributors' (NAED) Electrical Products Education Course known as EPEC. In June of 2017, Jon was promoted to his current position as service center leader.
Brian Luckenbach joined Summit in 1996 after receiving his degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University. Brian began his career in the Albuquerque service center working his way up through the warehouse to account manager. In 2012, Brian returned to his native Texas to lead the start up of Summit’s new Abilene service center. Brian also oversees the operations of the Midland, TX service center.
Richard joined Summit in May of 2017 as the leader of the South Texas District. With a strong track record in sales management, personnel development, vendor relations and operational logistics, Richard leads a diverse team of professionals representing a broad spectrum of expertise. Richard holds a degree from Louisiana State University and is based out of the Houston service center.
Tim Carr began his career in the industry in 2002 as a customer service representative for an electrical supplier in Beaumont, Texas. After almost a decade, he transitioned into account management and was hired as an area sales manager for Summit in 2013. His proven sales experience and strong relationships in the market earned him the service center leader position in Beaumont in 2015. Carr has a bachelor's degree in general studies from Lamar University.
Rodney Ilseng has been involved in electrical distribution since 1983. He joined Summit in April 2003 and served as both a service center leader and as Summit's regional strategic accounts manager in the Gulf Coast area. He was promoted to Houston, Texas service center leader in October 2009. Ilseng holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
Steve Lincoln joined Summit in 2003 with the acquisition of Warren Electric, where he had worked for 13 years as a customer service representative. He continued that role for Summit before being promoted to operations manager in January 2009. Lincoln maintained both sales and business operations in Clute, Texas during a transition period and was promoted to service center leader in January 2010.
Dustin began his career in the industry in 2007 in the warehouse for an electrical supplier in Bryan/College Station, Texas. He advanced in roles of sales and operations eventually becoming a branch manager. Dustin joined Summit in 2017 as a service center leader where he excels at personnel development and teambuilding. He leads the Bryan Service Center in Bryan/College Station.
With over 25 years of experience in the Baton Rouge-Gonzales, Louisiana market, Chip Shows joined the Summit team in 2013 as service center leader of the Gonzales location. After establishing himself in both inside and outside sales positions in the electric supply industry, Chip then moved up to work in supervisory and sales management roles. A familiar face to Louisiana electrical professionals, Chip brings years of excellent customer service and leadership to the Broussard and Gonzales locations.
Tracy Comeaux started his electrical distribution career in 1994 working for an independent electrical supplier. He joined Summit in 2007 as a customer service representative at the Broussard service center. He progressively advanced through roles as an account manager, customer service supervisor, and operations manager. Because of his extensive experience and broad knowledge of sales and operations, Tracy was promoted to his current position as Broussard service center leader in 2017.
Leland M. Sonnier has more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the electrical wholesale industry. Sonnier began his career as an industrial outside sales representative focused on MRO contracts and providing full service solutions for industrial end users. He joined Summit in January 2010 and was promoted to service center leader for the Broussard location in March 2011. Sonnier currently manages the Sulphur, Louisiana service center.
Director of Strategic Accounts
Dave Armstrong joined Summit in 2017. With more than 25 years of experience in the electrical industry, he has a proven track record in successfully restructuring operations and sales, engaging cross-functional teams to capitalize on sales and market growth opportunities.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is based out of the Houston service center.
Director of Strategic Accounts
Mike Rogers has a strong track record of growth and success and joined Summit in February 2013 as service center leader of the Irving, Texas location. He was promoted to regional sales director in February 2014. With more than 20 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry, he’s held positions of increasing responsibility in all facets of the business, including counter, inside and outside sales, branch management, and executive leadership.
Director of EP&C Sales
Ralph Mouret has worked in the electrical distribution industry for nearly 40 years, most of which as an engineering, procurement, and construction specialist in the oil and gas industry. With extensive expertise in domestic and international sales and project-based engineering, purchasing, and construction, he began his Summit career in 2009 as director of business development. Mouret is now director of the EP&C division based out of Houston, Texas.
Export Division Director
Saul Gonzalez, the son of an electrical contractor, began working in the industry as an electrical apprentice while still in high school. He went on to earn an engineering degree from the University of Houston and continued his education by earning his Masters degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University. Following several years of industry success in sales and management, Saul joined Summit as the Director of the Export Division in 2015. Saul is based out of the Houston location.
Director of International Sales
Will Gonzalez has 20 years in sales and marketing with demonstrated performance managing and growing business in Latin America and the Middle East. He joined Summit in April 2013 as international sales director of the Houston, Texas-based international sales team, which focuses on expanding Summit’s global presence. Gonzalez now oversees the Dubai, UAE service center. He has a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Rutgers University.
Marine Division Director
A marine industry veteran since 1991, Ed Dowey joined Summit in August 2004 and was named director of the Marine Division in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2008. He is also service center leader of the New Orleans and Houma, Louisiana locations. Dowey holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Alabama.
