SUMMIT ELECTRIC SUPPLY'S FULL HOUSE GIVEAWAY EVENT
DRAWS 300 PARTCIPANTS
Feb. 1, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. - Summit Electric Supply, the nation's 22nd largest electrical distributor, opened
its Orlando service center with a casino/poker themed event Jan. 24 that drew about 300 participants.
Two won brand new Suzuki ATVs.
"The event allowed us to showcase our facility and inventory to our customer base," said Harvey
Neeley, service center leader.
The Full House Giveaway event was held at Summit's 49,600-square-foot facility at 4201 Shader Road
in the Center of Commerce industrial park.
Representatives from 20 leading manufacturers participated. Guests needed to have their attendance
cards stamped by each vendor in order to be in the ATV giveaway drawing.
The lucky winners were Matthew Key, an apprentice with Bright Future Electric LLC, and Stacey Currie,
chief estimator for Kelly Electric LLC. Each won a Suzuki Ozark 250 ATV.
"It was fun," Key said. "Good food, good product demonstrations, and I had a good time."
"I've been in the industry in Central Florida more than 20 years," Currie said. "So many people came
it was like a nice reunion event as well. Vendors presented good product information. It was good to see
the latest in equipment and materials."
Katy Taylor with Eaton Corp., a vendor participant, said the event proved effective for networking
as well.
"I got in contact with a few contractors I was unaware of before," Taylor said. "So the event stirred
up a little bit of potential business for us as well as for Summit."

Summit Electric Supply, based in Albuquerque, is proud to announce the addition of Daniel Ferrari as its Houston Commercial Sales Manager. An industry veteran with specialized expertise, Ferrari will focus on expanding Summit's commercial construction client base in the Houston market and elsewhere on the Gulf Coast.
"This is an exciting opportunity for me," says Ferrari. "And I'm anxious to use my experience and background to enhance and grow Summit's position in the Houston construction market."

FROM DUKE CITY TO DUBAI
March 6, 2007

Albuquerque-based Summit Electric Supply recently announced the opening of a new sales office, across the ocean, in the thriving metropolis of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. "Opening shop in Dubai signifies our commitment to global electrical professionals," says Summit president and CEO Vic Jury. "Summit has been servicing international customers for many years through our export division in Houston. Now, with an office in Dubai, we will be able to bring an even higher level of services and support to our global partners."
Summit's Dubai office opened in February and is a partnership with Summit's export division. "International customers are no different than domestic customers," says Abdul Hooda, Vice President of Summit Global. "They want quick response, on-time delivery and superior technical support. We provide all that plus a lot more. We specialize in providing one stop for the international electrical professional, eliminating the need to work through multiple companies to get an order delivered to an international site. Summit Global makes ordering electrical material abroad easy and hassle free."
Also, to answer any queries its international customers may put forth to the new Dubai office, Summit's export department is staffed by multi-lingual personnel versed in export law and regulations, as well as packing and shipping procedures. They can solicit requests and contracts, purchase material worldwide, negotiate agreements, and provide all required export documentation.
The Dubai office opening represents the latest surge in momentum that has propelled Summit's success in recent years. Summit, ranked as the 23rd company in the industry, exceeded average industry growth in 2006 by more than 50 percent.

SUMMIT ADDS HILLER TO EXECUTIVE ROSTER
October 2, 2006

Summit Electric Supply President and CEO Victor Jury Jr. announced this week that Russ Hiller has been named to the executive team as Chief Accounting Officer/Treasurer. His previous title was Corporate Controller.
"Russ has brought high-level leadership skills to our Finance team," Jury said. "In the relatively short time he has been with Summit, he has proven to exemplify Summit's values and culture time and time again."
Hiller is a Certified Public Accountant accredited in business valuation by the American Institute of CPAs. He holds a business administration degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and he had 10 years of public accounting experience before joining Summit in February 2005.
He's now in charge of the financial well-being of a company with more than 500 Associates in 20 locations across five states. Earlier this month, Summit announced it was expanding with two locations in Florida.
"Overall, Summit's financial philosophy has been one of conservatism and prudence," Hiller said. "With that said, the company is always open to new opportunities for growth, and it manages its capital in such a way as to be fully prepared for those opportunities when they present themselves."
Jury said Hiller personifies Summit's overall corporate philosophy of respect, integrity and business ethics, both on the corporate level and in face-to-face interactions. Plus, he said, Hiller has a remarkable, seemingly innate understanding of accounting, finance and business in general.
"Our financial reporting and analytics have never been more timely, accurate or useful than they are today under Russ' leadership," Jury said. "I am extremely thankful to have Russ as part of our team. I sleep much better at night."

SUMMIT ELECTRIC SUPPLY TO OPEN TWO NEW BRANCHES IN FLORIDA September 18, 2006

Summit Electric Supply, which hasn't opened a new facility since its 2002 acquisition of Warren Electric Group assets, is back in the expansion business. Summit President and CEO Victor Jury Jr. announced this week that plans are being drawn for two new Service Centers in Florida: one in Orlando and one in Jacksonville.
"I can't tell you how excited I am about this tremendous opportunity," Jury said. "This is a tribute to all of our Associates who have created a company that is capable and deserving of such continued growth and success."
Summit has had close ties with the Florida electrical market since the hiring of Drew Ott as the Vice President of Sales earlier this year. Ott had been an upper level executive with Hughes Supply Co. in Orlando and joined Summit one week after that company was acquired by Home Depot.
With his knowledge of the Florida market, Ott was able to offer personal recommendations when two experienced distribution managers entered the job market. They have been signed up to manage Summit's new locations:
Harvey Neeley will be the Service Center Leader in Orlando. He brings 40 years of experience and a deep Customer base to his new position. He put in 24 years with the Rexel company, and most recently headed a Hughes Supply branch in Orlando. "He's an excellent leader," Ott said, "and he's skilled at developing relationships with Customers, Vendors and with his own team. People really enjoy working for Harv."
John Truss, also a Hughes Supply veteran, will lead Summit's Jacksonville Service Center. He spent nine years with Hughes after a 14-year career as an engineer for Reliance Electric, a leading manufacturer of industrial automation components. He received a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Missouri in 1983. "It's a refreshing change," Truss said. "Summit is the kind of company Customers enjoy dealing with."
Summit Chief Operating Officer Joe Chesky said the electrical markets in Orlando and Jacksonville are tailor-made for Summit's unique brand of Customer service.
We're a people company, a service company, and when we can bring our style and level of service to new markets with experienced professionals who already know those markets that's an opportunity you don't pass up."
The Service Centers won't open for several months, but in the meantime, professional electrical workers in Orlando and Jacksonville are invited to visit Summit's Web site at www.Summit.com, where they can discover more information about their new neighbor.
Summit Electric Supply was founded in 1977 by longtime distribution pros Victor Jury and David Meredith, and Jury's entrepreneurial son, Victor Jury Jr. The trio built the company "the right way," from the ground up, focusing foremost on the Customer. Summit offers credit, same-day delivery and 24-hour emergency service in addition to unique service guarantees like counter service within 30 seconds and will-call orders filled in 20 minutes or less.
Jury and Meredith have since retired, and Jury Jr. now runs the company from Summit's headquarters in Albuquerque, N.M.
In 2002, Jury Jr. orchestrated Summit's acquisition of Warren Electric Group assets, a move that literally doubled Summit's size and brought it to new markets in Texas and Louisiana. Summit also added an export division in Houston and a Service Center in New Orleans focusing on the marine market, including ship builders and fleet managers.
Including the new Florida locations, Summit will have more than 500 Associates operating 20 Service Centers:
- Arizona: Phoenix
- Florida: Jacksonville and Orlando
- Louisiana: Broussard, Gonzales and New Orleans
- New Mexico: Albuquerque, Farmington and Santa Fe
- Texas: Austin, Beaumont, Clute, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Killeen, La Porte and San Antonio
Earlier this year, Electrical Wholesaling magazine ranked Summit No. 23 among the estimated 3,500 electrical distributors in the nation.
Summit's Customers include electrical contractors, maintenance workers (at government facilities, educational institutions, etc.), petro-chemical and oil-field workers, miners, lighting designers, ship builders and many more.
Summit has specific expertise in automation, datacom and energy savings through lighting retrofits. It also has a custom-fabrication operation called Summit Industries.
Summit's corporate philosophy is based on respect for Customers, Vendors and for its own Associates. Summit values integrity and honesty, and places a high premium on business ethics, both on the corporate level and in face-to-face relationships.
Summit also values extreme efficiency, and its systems have been perfected over the past 30 years. Summit was the first electrical distributor in the nation to receive an umbrella ISO certification after many long months of examining and documenting the quality of its policies and procedures.
Summit Associates look forward to meeting their new partners in Florida and starting a long and fruitful relationship.
