INDUSTRY VETERAN DAN MCLAUGHLIN JOINS SUMMIT

Electric industry veteran Dan McLaughlin has joined Summit Electric Supply as the company's new Dallas service center leader.
"Dan is highly regarded in the electrical distribution community and is considered a very talented leader," said President and CEO Victor R. Jury Jr. "We're happy he has joined Summit."
McLaughlin's distinguished 28-year career began in 1979 with WESCO, where he started out as a truck driver. He worked his way up to branch manager in the 14 years he was with that company.
By 1993, he joined Graybar as industrial sales manager and then as area manager for Dallas/Fort Worth.
Most recently he served as region manager for Rexel Inc. in Central Texas, managing 11 locations from Temple to Dallas. |

SUMMIT RANKS NO. 22 ON LIST OF NATION'S TOP 200 DISTRIBUTORS

Summit Electric Supply has risen into the No. 22 position among the estimated 4,000 electrical distributors in the United States.
These rankings are featured in Electrical Wholesaling magazine, a national trade publication.
Summit, which has 20 locations in five states plus an Export Division in Houston and a sales office in Dubai, is ranked No. 22, up one spot from its previous ranking.
Summit has been in the Top 50 for more than 11 years, and its annual sales figures have grown each year of its 29-year existence. Summit's first location was opened in Albuquerque, N.M., on Aug. 15, 1977.
The rankings are compiled each year through a massive survey and are based on the companies' reported sales volume. Summit reported sales of $337,000,000 in 2006. Summit made its chart debut in 1987, when it ranked No. 173 with $21 million in sales. |
