Recruiting and Hiring Process
Summit's Recruiting & Hiring Process is of critical importance because of the pivotal role our Associates have in serving our Customers. We have a very rigorous recruiting and selection process for people with the intellectual judgment and energy it takes to do the job. Then we devote the time and resources necessary to train them.

Summit's participation in programs such as EPEC is an example of our commitment to Associate growth and development. EPEC is a self-study course designed and administered by the National Association of Electrical Distributors Educational Foundation (NAED-NEF). The EPEC program covers the vast array of products stocked and sold by an electrical distributor. It typically takes an Associate approximately two years to complete this program. Successful completion of EPEC is equivalent to 10 years of industry experience.
Summit has graduated more EPEC Gold Associates than any other distributor in the nation.

Product Specialists
Summit's Product Specialists are just one more example of our commitment to our Customers. Summit has invested in the training and resources necessary to provide our Customers with on-staff product specialists in such areas as Automation, DataCom, Lighting and Gear. These Associates have developed an expertise in their field and are available to help you with your specific needs and requirements.
Summit's Product Specialists work with our Customers in designing or updating their systems. Summit's Product Specialists not only provide the best overall value but they increase efficiency and save bottom line dollars.
