Because of our fundamental Customer focus, Summit recognized the value of just-in-time inventory programs very early. We have been involved in large just-in-time inventory management and system contract programs since 1981. We have refined and streamlined our Advanced Material Procurement System® or AMPS to the point where few companies can offer a more comprehensive program with a better total value for electrical purchases.
Over the years, Summit learned a great deal from our Customers and our own experiences. We have used this knowledge to refine and streamline our processes and systems as well as train our own Associates. A second article entitled "The Systems Sell" appeared as a cover story for the Electrical Wholesaling magazine, a nationally distributed publication, in 1989. In addition, Summit was received numerous Customer awards from our just-in-time partners for our ability to service their contracts.
