Vista Grande High School

Casa Grande, AZ

This $60 million public high school, completed in June 2009, comprises 259,000 square feet on 60 acres and accommodates up to 1,875 students. The project incorporated water and energy saving design features throughout. Summit provided all lighting on the school, including the motion-sensored lighting that will conserve energy and cut costs.

Tse Ho Tso Middle School

Window Rock, AZ

This LEED for Schools certified renovation and addition project targeted an energy reduction of 30 percent and water reduction use of 45 percent than a typical school, according to architect Dekker Perich Sabatini 2008 green project report. Sustainable features included an efficient four-pipe mechanical system, xeric landscaping, lighting sensors and temperature controls in each classroom. Summit provided the lighting package for this environmentally sustainable facility.
