About Us
Customer Service Starts with Training
Training forms the foundation of Summit Electric Supply's customer service.
Summit University, our own online education portal, offers associates more than 1,200 courses on products, management, and general business topics. Summit requires associates to earn 36 hours of training annually.
Our product knowledge is unsurpassed: Summit has sent more people through the top level of product training offered by the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) than any other distributor. Summit pays for associates to participate in all levels of the Electrical Products Education Course, known as EPEC.
Summit's internal training program also includes "counter school" and "customer service representative school" that teach the company's own style of customer service refined over decades of experience.
Associates are encouraged to participate in manufacturers' product training opportunities that are offered online, at Summit locations, and at manufacturers' sites.
The result:
Our sales associates don't just offer products - they offer solutions, through product applications, labor saving suggestions, or new product introductions.
Our customer service representatives provide effective support and project management based on your requirements.
Our counter sales and warehouse associates pull your orders accurately, helping to ensure timely deliveries.
